Foundation Testing – The Smart First Step
Why It Matters:
Many homeowners already know that either parts of their foundation—or the entire thing—might need to be replaced. However, those who opted into the Army Corps program often had their entire foundation removed—sometimes unnecessarily– or at a minimum had salvageable sections of their foundations damaged by the army corps heavy machinery.
If you've already consulted with a structural engineer and were told the entire foundation must go, we always recommend getting a second opinion. In our experience, portions of the foundation can often be salvaged, especially when thorough testing is done beforehand.
Benefits of Foundation Testing:
Reduce rebuilding costs by $30,000 to $100,000
Avoid project delays and save time.
Speed up debris removal process
Foundation Testing Includes:
Visual inspections
Core sampling and PSI testing
GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar)
Load testing on existing hold downs
Geotechnical analysis
